Ability to program Metronome to automatically increase BPM

This would be extremely useful implementation for learning new exercises as well as perfecting exercises I already know.
For example, let’s say you have a warm up exercise starting at a slow tempo like 40 BPM and be able to increase 100 BPM over a period of 3 minutes. I’d like the option for the click to keep increasing until I find a point of tempo where I burnout or be able to increase to the desired tempo and leave it there.
Ideally we could program the amount of BPM increase, the interval of time between 1-20 mins or so and the option of continuing to increase the tempo after the desired interval is reached. The increase in tempo could happen after a measure passes so the increase feels gradual, maybe some additional options can be suggested but those are the essential options I can think of at this time.
This feature could be very useful for an entire exercise, etude for testing and fine tuning a difficult section. I could see use cases for this both for individual practice as well as working within an ensemble.
