Add (k)ick to sticking

Thanks for creating this, Gilles!
I have seen this style of "sticking" for some patterns, particularly fills, when including the kick drum with R and L sticking text.
I like this idea, and I'm interested to hear from others if they would like to see it.
If this is optional, in what instances would you like to see this displayed? Would you like to be able to configure it yourself? If so, how would you expect to do this within the app?
(I have some ideas, but before I bias you with my assumptions, I'd like to hear your natural thoughts on this topic.)
Thanks!

Derek Lee: Hi Derek,
You are right, I am specifically thinking of fills when I'd like to add the kick to the sticking.
To do so, I'd think of adding a check box "include (k)ick" in the measure edition screen, the sticking edition screen to be precise.
I would add this check box just below the five sticking options we already have (natural, alternate, double strokes,...)
Like this we would be able to choose wether to add the kick or not on a "per measure" basis, useful to add it in the fills but not on the rhythms for example.

Derek Lee: oh and just to add : I don't need a L/R kick... for me just "k" is enough. Even when playing double-kick

Gilles Mercier: Sounds good, Gilles! Thanks for sharing these details with me. With this information, I can start to put together some design ideas.
Re: L/R Kick: Yes, Beat Note supports "Kick" and "Kick 2" to indicate which foot plays which notes, so I agree that also covers this use case.

Derek Lee: I like this idea to as you are primarily working with your primary three limbs. Maybe have a “show/hide” function to display the “k” line incase you want to see stockings for both hands plus your kick drum foot. You could even add a “H” line for the height hat. Again “show/hide” is way better than “add/remove” as it doesn’t erase anything you composed. I suggested this on another post.

Jesse Rolland: Thanks for this feedback, Jesse! I'm considering a couple different ways to implement this on the sticking screen. Stay tuned! 👍🏻
