I just tried the new version and it looks very good: The PDF-export looks perfekt and the new excercise-template is exactly what I‘m looking for. Great job! 👍🙏
Just now I tagged my Beats and this is also a very helpful feature for me. But there is one restriction: It seems that you (in contrast to the naming of the beats) not support Unicode for the naming of tags, I‘m only able to type letters and numbers, no special symbol works e.g -:()/&.
I can deny oneself of the special symbols but furthermore in the German language are special letters (ä, ü, ö, ß) that are also not supported.
Maybe there is a chance to change this in an upcoming version😇

I tested all special German characters (äÄüÜöÖß) some of the danish language (åæøœ) and even some emoticons (👍😀) and other Unicode characters (unfortunately they are not displayed here in Canny, and I‘m also not able to attached here a screenshot from Beat Note. If you are interested of the picture, I will send it you via email). All of them works very well; good job!
I found only some unimportant exceptions (like /\“); in conclusion: it‘s perfect for me.

Hinrich Nagel FYI I have updated the title of this request to better reflect the feature that you have asked for.
Also, just to provide some additional context on this request:
- Some kind of restriction of special characters is needed in order to provide proper security protection against attacks. I will evaluate exactly what special characters should not be able to be used and try to include as many as possible.
- I will also update the allowed characters to allow the inclusion of special characters needed for language purposes such as your example for German as well as other languages.

Thanks so much for checking out the latest version and sharing your feedback Hinrich Nagel! I'm glad you appreciate the detail in the PDF and the new exercise template! I received some great feedback from teachers using Beat Note about this style of worksheet, and I wanted to incorporate that experience into the app (and the PDF export, as well). I have a list of other possible types of templates and plan to continue to add more templates based on your feedback. 👍🏻
Regarding the restriction for tag names: you are correct that I included a restriction for security purposes. As you noted, I overlooked that many characters in other languages would be restricted and should have tested that more thoroughly. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I will schedule this fix for the next update.

Hinrich Nagel Thanks for this feedback! I already have planned to add both two measure and four measure templates, so it's good to know that you are also interested in these.
I have some more template ideas in mind - some are more defined than others - and I will be slowly introducing more templates into Beat Note as I continue to collect more information from users.
