Download drum tracks into Beat Note

As a drum-beginner I also use Moises to separate the drums from the songs which are interested for me to play. And from the first time on I used Moises, I missed that are no abilities to add notes.
So, in conclusion: The best way could be a joint venture between Moises and Beat-note! The developers of Moises should also be interested to have this feature in the app and vs. versa.

Hinrich Nagel: Thanks for contributing your feedback to this feature request! I'm unsure if a joint venture with Moises is necessary to satisfy this feature request, but it's an option I hadn't thought of and might be worth pursuing.
Regardless, this feature request aligns nicely with some other features I've been considering, and the more people request a feature, the higher it goes on the priority list. I plan to research this and related enhancements in the future for inclusion in Beat Note. 👍🏻

Hi David, and thanks for this feature request! I am familiar with the Moises app and want to confirm I understand what you are asking for in this request.
Are you suggesting that by importing the audio track of a drum part, you'd like Beat Note to create the music transcription automatically by deciphering the audio?

David Cathcart:
Hi Derek I don't know whether this is possible, but that is correct
Derek Lee
David Cathcart: Thanks for your confirmation, David! Technically, I like to think that
anything
is possible.. but exactly how difficult would it be? 🤔 I think this feature would be quite challenging to be honest. That said, I have actually thought about this kind of feature and how it might be accomplished as a step towards being able to accurately transcribe what someone plays on an acoustic drumset (see https://beat-note.canny.io/feature-requests/p/produce-music-notation-by-recording-what-i-play-on-an-acoustic-drumset). I would categorize this in two ways: transcribing just a drum track (e.g., as extracted from Moises or similar), as well as the ability to transcribe a drum track as it exists in a song (e.g., no need to extract the drum track out using Moises first).
I probably haven't thought through this yet, but there may be other considerations, such as how sharing should be managed.
Measuring the difficulty on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this as an 11. 😅 That said, I think this kind of experience would be magical and could have a huge impact on the drumming community.
I'd love to ask some follow-up questions about this. How valuable would this feature be for you? What would you be willing to pay for this kind of capability?

Hi David Cathcart! Have you had a chance to give any thought to the above questions? I'm interested to learn more from you (or anyone else who is interested in this feature). Thanks! 🙏🏻

As an alternative input method, have you considered the possibility of inputting rhythms in real time by tapping? For drummers, it would likely be much faster to make the sheet music by tapping the rhythm in time than by notating it. Set BPM, select which parts of the drum set are to be shown on screen (GUI could be a grid of squares). Then play and layer. The BPM selected quantizes to some pre-selected granularity (16th notes default). User taps out the rhythm while listening to the section. Taps are quantized and then added to the notation based on the instrument (bass, snare, hat) tapped. The user can then make adjustments to the notes through the typical interface to fine tune.
