Hello friends! Here's a screenshot of how flams for the snare drum are coming along. (See image #1: "2024 03 04 Snare Drum Flams - Progress.png")
I have some questions I'd love your feedback on... (see image #2: "2024 03 04 Snare Drum Flams - Concerns.png")
A - Flams on the first beat of a measure bump into the repeat sign. Looks like I'll need to make a bit more room here for this to fit.
B - Placing flams on 32nd notes is tight because there isn't much space. Do you need the ability to add flams to 32nd note passages?
2024 03 04 Snare Drum Flams - Note positions Inconsistent.png - A lot of the music notation I see with grace notes makes the width before the grace note wider than the other notes. This looks strange to me and does not jive with my "Type-A" personality where all notes have to be spaced equal. How do you expect to see grace notes added to notes and how do you expect them to impact (or not impact) the width between notes?
Additional questions that come to mind...
#1. Flams could also be combined with other snare drum articulations. For example: flam + accent, flam + diddle. Are there other flam combinations that should be considered?
#2. How would you expect to input articulations that could be combined? For example: flam + accent, or flam + diddle?

Here's a quick mockup of what I expect flams on the snare drum to look like. A flam would be another annotation you could select for the snare drum.
When I think about flams just in the snare drum (or more specifically, on a single voice of the drumset), I also think it would be useful to be able to distinguish between unaccented flams (as per the screenshot), and accented flams.
Maybe these are two separate articulations for the snare drum?
- Unaccented flam
- Accented flam
This is a unique scenario since it combines two different articulations - an accent, and a flam.
What do you think? What else needs to be taken into consideration for flams on a single voice?
