Say we wanted to split up a linear fill into chunks which we could name.

Like:

RLLK = A

RLK = B

Or

RLLK = Frog

RLK = Pickle

Then when we’re making a new measure, we could somehow insert beat set Frog, Pickle, Frog, Pickle to make a whole measure.

Now … this could be applied to both the sticking and the instrument or to either sticking or instrument on their own.

In effect, we’re making prepackaged groups of things which we could just drop onto a measure.
