Playback: behavior of scrolling
complete
Hinrich Nagel
As I mentioned under the topic ’lyrics‘, I offen try to play a complete song (more then 100 measures) while I have a look to the notes, which are displayed (in playback-mode) by Beat Note on my iPad . In doing so the cursor go along from measure to measure and when the bottom of the screen (the last measure on the page) is reached the next page is displayed. Normally, if the notes are documented on several sheets of paper, I like to have a short preview and turn manually to the next page before the last measure on the current page is completely played.
It was great, if you could change the behavior of scrolling in a similar way , e.g. change the page when the second last row is completely played or, much more better, scroll continuously through the beat in dependence of the bpm-justification.

Hinrich Nagel I found the bug in the scrolling code and have completed the fix. This will be included in the next release (likely 3.1). I'm unsure when it will be available but I will post here once I have confirmation. Hopefully sometime this week! Thanks for your patience while I get this ready for you. 🙇🏻♂️

Hi Hinrich Nagel, thanks for creating this feature request!
I did some testing with the playback of long-form content and I can see how the app is not scrolling in an intuitive way. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! I'll plan to include a fix for this in the next release. 👍🏻

Derek LeeI be thrilled about your engagement. I look forward to your update. Many thanks!!!!

Hinrich Nagel My pleasure Hinrich! Thank you for bringing this unexpected behavior to my attention. 🙇🏻♂️ I looked through my notes and found that I had adjusted the behavior of the scrolling back in November to resolve a different bug, but as a result of that, I introduced another one as you have found. 😔
I was able to resolve this yesterday and I believe I found a solution which solves both problems. Once this is released, I would appreciate you verifying it and sharing your feedback. Thank you for your contributions to the BN community! Your feedback helps make the app better for everyone! 🙏🏻
