Triolen
Derek Lee
Hi Hinrich Nagel - this pattern can be created in Beat Note! However, it will render a bit differently as I've only programmed the ability to render sixteenth-note triplets as a partial of three notes instead of a parietal of two. I think this has made it confusing for you. I'm sorry for the added complexity here.
Here you go:
#1. Change the beat subdivision for beats 1 and 3 to Sixteenth Note Triplets.
#2. For beats one and three, add the downbeat and the last three notes of the triplet.
#3. See the finished rhythm.
And also a link for you to open on your device and confirm: https://www.beat-note.app/downloads/DFBDD246-66C7-4400-95F4-713E45746239
There are multiple ways to render this rhythm musically, and the score image you've included is (I think) the typical way to render this pattern. For Beat Note to render the music in this manner takes extra work, so I haven't added this capability yet, but I plan to do so when adding support for 8th note time signatures.
Please let me know if this helps!

Derek LeeThank‘s a lot for your very quick answer, this help’s definitely.
Unfortunately I have another problem: I make some changes to my beat, and afterwards 3 of 4 exercises are displayed grey and I‘m not able to change the color of all 4 exercises to black and I can‘t delete a specific exercise. (see attachment). I don‘t know what happens????
Derek Lee
Hinrich Nagel No worries, I'm here to assist! 💪🏼
The reason the first three measures are shown in grey is that you have likely previously changed the playback to start from Exercise #4. When you set the "start from here" exercise or measure, the exercises or measures before it are shown in grey (because they won't be played). When you press the "Play" button, the music plays from Exercise #4.
To change this back, simply long press on the exercise or measure you want to start playback from and choose "Play from here."
Please see the screenshots below, which illustrate this.
(I also want to create a video to show how to use this feature, but I'm unsure when I'll be able to do that. I'll be exhibiting at the TMEA conference tomorrow, and we are setting up the booth today.)
Please let me know if this answers your question! 🙏🏻

Derek LeeMany, many thanks for your help, that works.
Derek Lee
Hinrich Nagel Great! Glad to hear it! 🎉 Feel free to contact me anytime with questions. You can also email me directly from within the app under Settings > Email Derek. 👍🏻

Hinrich Nagel This is also great feedback that it's not clear when the user changes the "start from measure." I think the design of this feature can be further improved. Let's see if we can think of some ways to improve it together!
Hinrich Nagel
Derek LeeDeleting a specific exercise is importend from my point of view, otherwise there is a lot of work to eliminate an exercise which is no longer needed in the beat.
Derek Lee
Hinrich Nagel Yes you can delete any exercise or measure from the edit screen simply by tapping the three dot icon and selecting “Delete”.
Or is there another capability you are looking for? 🤔
Hinrich Nagel
Derek LeeOh, sorry for that, I’ve tried this before but maybe I aim wrong due to my big fingers. Never mind me asking.
Derek Lee
Hinrich Nagel This is also useful feedback! Do you think the "..." button should be larger? I can increase the size of this if it is difficult to hit. 👍🏻
Hinrich Nagel
Derek LeeI just create a new beat by duplicating an existing beat and than delete 12 of in total 29 measures. Therefore I have to hit 12 times the “…“ button in a correct way, and 5 times I don‘t accomplish this with the first tap:
Yes, for MY special fingers the button could be a little bit larger.
Derek Lee
Hinrich Nagel Sounds good! Let me experiment and see about making that button a bit easier for you to hit! 👍🏻 It sounds like being able to delete multiple measures would also be a helpful feature... I have some ideas for that as well already in the works!
Hinrich Nagel
Derek LeeMany thanks for your support. Deleting multiple measures would also very helpful. Very often I create new beats by duplicate an older one and modify the included measures.
Derek Lee
Hinrich Nagel Sounds good! I have some ideas about how to improve this experience for you.
