I just started a project to write drum sheet music for my band's catalog. The first song I started with starts with 16 bars of rest. In the notation, BeatNote lays all 16 bars out, but it would be great if there was multi-measure rest notation, as commonly seen in sheet music. See attached screenshot for an example I pulled off google of a 2-measure of rest notation. Other notes that I believe are already being addressed: When consecutive bars are the same notation Beat Note replaces the notation with a copy/repeat notation (looks like a division sign), but we'd much prefer the notation to still be written out so a user can read along from bar to bar. Lastly, I believe this is being addressed in a big update but I dont seem to be able to start playback from a specific bar. Its always just from the beginning. So using the same example of a song that starts with 16 bars of rest, if I want to start playback from when the notation starts (16 bars in) I can't I have to play from the beginning and wait through 16 bars of rest.

Add a tap-tempo control that sets the beat’s playback BPM from successive taps. Right now tempo is slider / +− / keyboard arrows. That works once you know the number. It is slow when the source is a song you're listening to, a count-in, or a beat still in your head. How it should ideally behave... Large tap target (or a dedicated Tap button) on the practice / playback screens. Average the last 4–8 intervals; update BPM live after the 3rd or 4th tap. Ignore a long gap (reset the buffer) so a missed beat does not drag the average. Optional half-time / double-time toggle after the reading settles. Work while playback is stopped, then apply the BPM when Play is pressed. Keep the existing slider and number pad; tap is just another input.

As a bottom-feeder and absolute beginning drummer I think I want to find an app where I can present a rudiment or small snippet of drum notation (in whatever time signature I choose) and the app will spit back a visual depiction of how that rudiment is counted, i.e. 1 & 2, 3, e & a 4 e & etc….The App should also work in the other direction. I present the vocalization of a rudiment and then I get the equivalent of a readout as though I have generated a digital piece of sheet music. I think this would provide me with visual queues while reinforcing any neural pathways I build with repetitive practice. AT LEAST I THINK THIS IS WHAT I WANT! DOES BEAT NOTE HAVE THIS CAPABILITY?

Can I name the bars, e.g intro or first verse?

i tried to use the e-mail derek function on my iphone, but it just tells me that i don't have an email set up on this device and tells me to get one set up without giving me any idea on how to. my email is, in fact, linked to my apple account, so either the detection doesn't work or there's some arcane setup that i haven't done yet that the little error message should probably tell me how to do.

whenever i'm using septuplets, the notation has every septuplets rest as an individual rest instead of grouping longer pauses together, which makes the notation look incredibly messy and clunky in a way that seems like it probably wasn't intentional. if i could figure out a way to post images here i'd post an example, but until then this is the best i can do.

Is it possible to create more lines on a pdf, when using single bars in one line?! It would be great to get 5 lines of single bars on one page. There‘s to much space between the lines. See also picture. Thx 🙏

The print is too small how to change the font size

So this just came out today! Couldn’t wait for this feature to be added! But I noticed a major issue immediately! It’s not filling appropriately. This is what it’s doing when I am using numbers. Example: 1 10 11 12 13 14 15 2 20 21 22 23 24 25 3 3 30 31 32 33 34 35. So basically if I am numbering my beats in anyway like this it will continue to file with that second digit if that makes sense. Like using this example it should file like this: 1 2 3 10 11 12 13 14 15 20 21 22 23 24 25 30 31 32 33 34 35. At the moment it’s kind of pointless to file beats using the AZ feature until it gets fixed. Let me no if you need further clarification! Otherwise just try creating some test beats numbered in the titles and see that it’s not ordering the natural way…
